USA Today reported that the reason for Williams’ departure was that the show was returning to studio airing in New York and also her experience with COVID last winter.

“It’s time now for One More Thing and I have an announcement. This is my last day hosting ‘The Five’. COVID has taught me a lot of lessons. As the show returns to the studio in New York, I will stay in DC,” the newspaper reported, which Williams told viewers.

The hosts of “The Five” are currently Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Jesse Watters.
