Pupils’ Christmas card designs are sent to the Prime Minister
Seren Brierley of Ysgol y Gwernant, in Pengwern, Llangollen, received a £20 pound token and had her design turned into a Christmas card from Clwyd South MP Simon Baynes, which was sent to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other public figures from government and beyond.
Mr Baynes said: “The level of entry was extremely high and it was very difficult to pick a winner. However, I want to congratulate Seren Brierley for his excellent design as well as Romany Roberts and Rhys Jones for being finalists.
“I was extremely proud to present the winning Christmas card design to the Prime Minister and show off the wonderful talent we have here at Clwyd South.”
There were also two finalists, Romany Roberts from Rhosymedre Community Primary School, in Rhosymedre, Acrefair, and Rhys Jones also from Ysgol y Gwernant. Romany and Rhys were given £10 tokens and their designs featured on the back of the card.
Mr Baynes launched his Christmas card competition on November 3, 2021 and received a large number of photos from pupils at Clwyd South Primary School, delighted to show off their artistic talents.
