Watch: Dubai sets world record for ‘We love the UAE’ greeting cards celebrating the country’s Golden Jubilee

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), together with Aramex, have partnered to develop an innovative way to celebrate the Golden Jubilee into a global celebration where people from over 100 countries sent greeting cards to the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, the local public celebrated the event by writing over 5,000 greeting cards which were entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.

A huge mural has been erected in the middle of Dubai Festival City showing images of people from around the world dressed in popular costumes carrying large greeting cards bearing the event’s slogan “We love the UAE”, along with comments written in different languages ​​congratulating the UAE on its Golden Jubilee. The mural attracted over 5,000 greeting cards from Dubai government students, employees and customers as well as visitors to Dubai Festival City and the event site.

Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA, said, “The event deserves to be celebrated and supported by all departments and entities in the public and private sectors. This proves the distinguished position the UAE enjoys among the peoples and countries of the world. »

She added: “The initiative adds to the UAE’s tally of Guinness World Records in terms of innovative events and community and collective initiatives carried out with our private sector partners. Dubai-based Aramex has an ongoing relationship with RTA to achieve common goals such as “safety and environmental sustainability”, in addition to cooperating in the areas of training and awareness to improve road safety in Dubai.
